• Girls Basketball Tryouts - 7th and 8th grade girls that are interested in trying out need to meet Coach Deaton in the cafeteria at 5pm on Monday, December 3rd.  They will practice until 7.  
• Boys Basketball Tryouts - 8th graders will tryout on Monday (12/3) and Wednesday (12/5) from 6:30-8:30pm.  7th graders will tryout on Tuesday (12/4) and Thursday (12/6) from 6:30-8:30pm.  Those trying out need to meet Coach Cole in the mat room! (Please note...this time is updated from yesterday's message.)
• Basketball - Students currently involved in volleyball or wrestling will not be able to tryout for basketball until the respective seasons end.  
• Open Gym tonight (Wednesday) for 7th grade boys from 6-8pm. 
• Open Gym Thursday night for 8th grade boys from 6-8pm.
• The Beta Club members will be going over to Summit Place Thursday afternoon right after school to decorate Christmas trees.  Members may still bring items to decorate with! 
• Jingle Bell Rockin' Run - December 1st (This Saturday) starting at 10am - Race will start at Patriot's Park (220 S. Railroad Ave, KM) - Fun Run (600 meter) starts at 10am - 5K/10K immediately following the Fun Run - Race day packet pickup and registration: 8-9:30am at KM Joy Theater - For those that registered early...Packet Pickup will be Friday Nov. 30th 3-8:30pm at the KM Joy Theater - Come out and support our "Girls on the Run" group that will be running that day!  This group is sponsored by Mrs. Short. 
• We have a Robotics Team that will be traveling to Concord, NC this Saturday to compete in a regional competition. We wish them lots of luck!  Go Patriots!

• Progress Reports go home with our students today.  We are 1/3 of our way through the 2nd nine weeks grading period.  Students should be working to achieve their AR goal and percentage...and working to maintain a positive grade point average in all subject areas!

• Reminder - Student Fees are $5 - If you have not already sent this for the 2012-2013 school year, please send it as soon as possible!
• Beta Club is going to be decorating 3 Christmas trees at Summit Place on Thursday, November 29th.  Members are asked to bring ornaments for the trees.  (1.) Peace Tree: white ornaments, angel ornaments, dove ornaments (2.)Starry Night, Holy Night Tree: blue & silver ornaments, silver tinsel, manger or any religious ornaments (3.) Patriot Tree: red, white or blue ornaments, red tinsel and/or any type of ornament that will fit the patriotic theme.

• Open Gym - Tonight for 7th graders only from 6-8pm.  Please have rides here on time.

• Cleveland Early College High School - Prospective Student Open House - 6pm - Thursday, November 29th at The LeGrand Center (1800 East Marion Street) - Please use the Kings Rd. Extension Entrance and proceed left around to the school main entrance.  This is opposite the fountain entrance of the LeGrand Center. - Students who attend with their parents will be eligible to apply early for our Fall 2013 cohort selection.
• Intramural Scoreboard - Current point leaders are...Monday - Regan and Spangler are tied; Tuesday - McKee; Wednesday - Clore-Laurich; Thursday - Hicks - There are 2 weeks left in the rotation!

• There is a school dance tomorrow...and we have a new DJ!  The correct time of the dance is 3:15 until 5:15.  The times posted on our blog yesterday were incorrect.  Please have rides here on time.  Students will be given a ticket as they pay to get into the dance ($5)...and drawings will be made for free drinks and pizza.  
• Tomorrow is the DEADLINE for the 2nd payment for the Wilmington trip ($130)!  
• Students that had make-up pictures made should have received their proofs.  Money for pictures needs to be returned to school by Monday.
• Students will be out of school next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for Thanksgiving break.
• Our lost and found is full...lots of coats, sweatshirts, and jackets...plus other stuff.  Students need to stop by Mrs. Crawford's room if they are missing something!
• Football parents...if you are interested in purchasing a championship t-shirt, they are $12.  Please see Coach Cole to place your order.  Ordering deadline is Friday, November 30th!

• School Dance this Friday from 3:30 - 5:30.  You must be on level to attend.  Each student will be given a ticket when he or she enters the door...and could win a free drink or a free slice of pizza.  Price for admission is $5.  Come out and hang out with your friends!

• The Supernova Team is going on a field trip to the Schiele Museum on Thursday.
• The second Wilmington payment of $130 is due by Friday, November 16th!
