• Chorus Concert - December 17th @ KMHS @ 7pm

• McDonald's Night - Many thanks to everyone that came out to McDonald's last night to support the Beta Club's efforts to raise money for Scotty Hill...a student at our school that is currently battling cancer.  
• There are only 4 more school days for students before Christmas Break!
• Wrestling Match - The Patriot Wrestling Team lost a hard fought match against West Lincoln yesterday at the Tri-County Conference Championship match.  We are extremely proud of their accomplishments this season! Way to go team...and Coach Ash and Coach Farquharson!

December 10, 2012

• No Cheerleading Practice today or tomorrow. Practice on Wednesday.
• KM vs Shelby in Wrestling Playoffs at home starting at 4:00 on Tuesday, December 11th.  Come out as our wrestling team!
• Cleveland Early College High School will have three remaining open house dates for students and parents who are interested in our program.  Those dates are: Thursday, January 24th; Thursday, February 21st; and Thursday, March 14th.  All open house events will begin with a presentation at 6:00pm.  Only students who have verified attendance at one of these open house events are eligible to submit an application to you no later than Friday, March 22nd.  The application packet is greatly streamlined and should take no more than 30 minutes to complete.  We will gather information and a writing sample from students when they attend their mandatory interview during the week of April 8th. You may access applications directly from CECHS webpage or students can see Mrs. Myers for an application.
• The Nutcracker Ballet is being performed by Kimberla's School of Ballet this weekend at the Joy Theater in Kings Mountain (202 South Railroad Avenue).  Performances are Saturday, Dec. 15th at 6pm and Sunday, Dec. 16th at 4pm. Tickets are $10 each.  You can order advance tickets or pay at the door.  Doors open 1 hour before each performance.  The web address is:   https://sites.google.com/site/kmnutcrackerballet/home
• Beta Club will be sponsoring a Spirit Night on Thursday, December 13 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the McDonald's next to Pizza Hut.  All proceeds raised will be donated to the Kings Mountain Crisis Ministry that serve so many families within our community.  The WIN class that has the most students come out will be rewarded with a doughnuts and juice.  You are welcome to go through the drive through as well!! 
• Band Concert will be at Kings Mountain High School this Thursday night at 7:30pm. 
• School Dance - Friday, December 14th - from 3:30 until 5:30

• Girls Basketball Tryouts - 7th and 8th grade girls that are interested in trying out need to meet Coach Deaton in the cafeteria at 5pm on Monday, December 3rd.  They will practice until 7.  
• Boys Basketball Tryouts - 8th graders will tryout on Monday (12/3) and Wednesday (12/5) from 6:30-8:30pm.  7th graders will tryout on Tuesday (12/4) and Thursday (12/6) from 6:30-8:30pm.  Those trying out need to meet Coach Cole in the mat room! • Dec. 13^th – BETA Club spirit night at McDonald
• Dec. 13^th – Band Concert at high school
• Dec. 14^th – School Dance
• Dec. 11^th – Possible Wrestling and Volleyball playoffs - More info to come!

• Wrestling and volleyball will be finishing up their regular season this week.  Come out and support our teams!
