• Spelling Bee Competition (School Bee) - February 15th

• School Transfer Request Information 2013-14 - Deadline for student transfer requests for the 2013-2014 school year is April 8, 2013.  Transfers must be approved by the Cleveland County Board of Education.  Schools that reach capacity will be closed to student transfers.  Specific grade levels may also be closed at specific schools to avoid classroom overcrowding.  Out-of-county student transfers will be accepted on a space-available basis.  Priority will be given to Cleveland County residents.  Student transfers may be revoked at any time for violations of attendance or discipline policies.  Students will be granted a transfer to remain at a school through the grade span served by that school unless noted otherwise in the transfer approval letter.  Out-of-county transfer students are required to pay tuition established by the CCS Board of Education.  the out-of-county tuition fee for the 2013-14 school year is $1414.00.  If a student transfer request is approved, parents will be required to provide their own transportation.  A transfer form may be downloaded from the CCS website.
• ScottyStrong T-Shirts - We will sell shirts through February 8...they are $10 and proceeds go to benefit the Hill family!
• Beta Club - It is time to induct eligible 7th graders into the Beta Club.  Envelopes will be sent home with those students on Wednesday, February 6th.  Applications need to be returned by Monday, February 11th. 
• Valentine Grams - Send your friend a Valentine message and treat!  They are $0.50 each and may be purchased in the cafeteria during lunch!
• Tennis Tryouts - Tennis tryouts for 8th graders (boys and girls) will be February 18th and 20th - 7th grade will be February 19th and 21st - Students must be on level 3 or above and must have had a physical in the last year in order to try out.  Tryouts will be from 3:00-5:00 at the middle school courts.  Any questions, please see Mrs. Harris!
