• Wrestling - Kings Mountain beat West Lincoln by the score of 43-37 to claim the championship!  The wrestlers stepped up and wrestled great as a team.  Everyone battled and contributed to the victory.  Kings Mountain finishes the season at 10-2 and as the Tri County Champions.  Congratulations to the boys and to Coach Ash and Coach Bridges for a Great Season!!!

• Wrestling Championship - KM will compete against West Lincoln tomorrow for the Tri-County Championship.  The match will be at WL at 4pm.  Wrestlers will be dismissed at 2:30.  We wish them the best of luck!
• Geography Bee Team Winners - The following students will compete in the KMMS Geography Bee in the media center at 8:30 on Wednesday morning: Stingrays - Holden Turner, Marlins - Max Dechant, Wave Riders - Savannah Rinehardt, Supernovas - Jonathan Rikard, Rockets - Elizabeth Foy, Titans - Logan Fleming, Voyagers - David Friday

• Beta Club News - Our Beta Club is sponsoring a canned food drive during the week of 12/9 - 12/13.  The WIN class with the most cans will receive a prize!  Tomorrow is the last day to bring in canned food items!  Many thanks to all that participated!

•  Wrestling - KM Middle recently defeated North Lincoln by the score of 75-24.  KM probably wrestled its best match of the year.  Winning matches for KM were Alex Garcia, Mason Nguyen, Quenton Nguyen, Mitchell Hord, Reese Reinhardt, JT Cash, Jerdon Pressley, Paul Culbreth, Tiger Tuttanon, Sedrick Morgan, Collin Franks, RJ Bishop, and Tyler Hunley.  KM starts playoffs Thursday traveling to Crest.
• Wrestling Playoff Game - Good luck to our Patriots as they travel to Crest today!

• Beta Club News - Our Beta Club is sponsoring a canned food drive during the week of 12/9 - 12/13.  The WIN class with the most cans will receive a prize!  
• Winter Band Concert - December 12th - $3 per person
• Christmas Chorus Concert - December 17th @ KMHS @ 7pm - Donations of money and/or canned food will be accepted and appreciated. 
• Progress Reports - December 17th
• Christmas Holiday - December 23rd - January 1st
• Early College High School - 8th grade students that are interested in attending the ECHS must have a parent or guardian attend one of the informational sessions in order to be able to apply.  The second meeting will be held this Thursday, December 12th @ 6:30 @ the ECHS.  Students interested in more information need to see Mrs. Hamrick! 
• Volleyball - The Lady Patriots fell to a tough but close loss against North Lincoln in 4 games.  The scores were 27:25, 25:13, 25:22, 25:12.  In the first set the Lady Patriots played perfect together throughout the entire game.  All of the players contributed something on the court which led them to win.  In the second set the Patriots were not so lucky but with one player getting hurt and coming back in the game the Patriots stayed strong throughout but didn't pull it out.  In the third set the Lady Patriots had a big lead with the help of Leeasia Rhodes, Cassidy Calhoun, and Cassidy Melton.  The Patriots started losing points and nothing was helping or fixing the Patriots.  The lead came down to one point then North LIncoln came serving hard and came back to win it.  In the the fourth set the Patriots stayed behind the entire time but came back to make it close.  When North Lincoln started putting in different servers it made the Patriots get down and ended up losing 25:12.
  Outstanding players were everyone on the team.  The Patriots ended with a great season and great last game!  The record was 6-4

• Wrestling - KM beat Lincolnton by the score of 67-21.  Winning matches for KM were Mason Nguyen, Quenten Nguyen, Mitchell Hord, Reese Reinhardt, JT Cash, Zykiez Baxter, Zachary Carroll, Sedrick Morgan, Matt Huffstetler, Collin Franks, RJ Bishop, and Tyler Hunley.  KM next wrestle Tuesday against North Lincoln to end the regular season.  KM is now 7-2 and will head to playoffs next week.  
•  Volleyball - The Lady Patriots won against Lincolnton.  25:12, 25:20, 25:21.  In the first set the Lady Patriots started to a great start with Kaniya McClain serving.  The team played together the entire time with Isabella Hollifield serving an ace and getting kills.  In the second set the Lady Patriots started off to a great start, but with a hurt player coming out of the game the Patriots were shaken up.  After calling a timeout the Patriots came back and served with help from Katelin Phaengkhamhak and Kaniya McClain.  With kills in both set 1 and set 2 from Mackenzie Ramsey the Patriots stayed in it. To end the game off Belle Hollifield got a kill with the score 25:20.  In set 3 the Patriots did not play their game but pulled it out with a 25:21 victory. The Patriots play at North Lincoln on Tuesday and their record is 6-4.
